the torturing that goes on in the show is supposed to generate drama and entertainment but i've grown tired with it. i don't like the message it sends to the public that the ends justify the means when fighting terrorism. whether its the show's producers intention or not it gives support to bushes policies of super-seeding the constitution and diminishings our right and our privacy. In the future I'm sure will look back at 24 as a reflection of the times that government successful use fear of terrorism after 9/11 to rollback our civil liberties. I often find myself repulsed by Jack Bauer even though he is supposed to be the hero of the show.
As far as non-americans having the right to like it. I say go head doesn't bother me in the least.

theres already a bush like character this season and hes the president (crazy coincidence eh?). they make him out to be a complete idiot and then reveal hes behind certain terrorist events. now tell me that doesent sound like a certain president we know?
