when you state you have a boyfriend or girlfriend after someone asks for your number and they say "but we can just be friends"...does this irritate you? when some peeople can't take no for an answer? it irritates the hell out of me. what are your opinions?

just an hour ago i was walking back to my dorm and some guy was like "what you doin' on the phone, come talk to me" and to basically sum it up he was flirting and when i declined because i had a boyfriend he was like "oh well we can be friends". so that would mean if i did date this guy, he would accept other girls as "friends"....he can't respect a relationship. i can't even count how many guys have asked me to be their "friends" after i declined their number. it's flattering but then it's jsut irritating when they keep pushing. don't get me wrong, i love having male friends but there's no need to overlook a basic sorry and a reason.

"let's be friends" usually means one of two things... "i'm not attracted to you" OR "let's keep in contact just in case one of us dumps our significant other and we're lonely"

i dont run into that problem. generally when i can see something similar to that on its way i end up being overly blunt and tell them straight up that i dont like them at all and they should stop talking to me.
