FERRY, FERRY, FERRY!

I have to somewhat disagree with Te Ka above... Ferry rocked, but the Palace sucks almost infinitely. I don't agree with being able to buy booze and cigarettes at a trance show (in fact I was not too impressed to see the night was sponsored by Benson & Hedges). Because of that booze, a fight broke out 10 feet from where I was. The crowd was very average... It seemed there was a bunch of people that just happened to be there because it's a club (superbowl after party maybe?).

So, the venue, the crowd, the atmosphere didn't do anything for me.

But Ferry rocked. He was really good. Veracocha! yes! I hope next time it will be a different venue.

U dont agree with being able to buy booze and smokes @ a bar?...this seems SO STRANGE. And im sure the smokes had nothing to do with the fight, that I saw nothing of..Benson and Hedges, while I am a non smoker, are a part of the scene now(not like anybody smokes em) I approve of their involvement, and I dont really know what Manhunter is complaining about. The palace is a GORGEUOS club, but could use a sound overhaul, specially after Ferry blew their speakers..

I thought the crowd was GREAT! Manhunter, that is what our scene is like...much different that our 'friends' to the north

It was a great crowd, a great venue(minus the sound problems) and all in all a great event.

Ferry rocked the palace hard!....being able to drink was perfect for all the people that dont want to be sketched out ..and the benson girls!?!?! how the fuck could you not like them????
anyways..that was one of the best parties ive ever been too and that set....damn! i will never forget it

Since Nicky left for Vancouver, NexusTribe have been hibernating... And Defstar is bringing all these incredible DJs to Calgary, so I've had to drive down there more than once. I was there for Magik, with Tiesto. And it was one of the best rave I've been to. The venue was good, the crowd was good, the DJs were fantabulous.

The difference between Magik and Ferry@The Palace: While I'm not in favor of any kind of drugs, at least people on E (or even pot) are happy, huggy, and enjoyable. People on booze... they fight. Or they behave like that drunk asshole that was harassing the Benson girls all night. The Palace was also pretty smoky, and it bothered me and my friend.

Anyway, I'm bitching about the venue. But it was still all worth it, including 6 hours round trip drive, to see Ferry spin. And he seemed to enjoy himself too. Thanks Defstar for Ferry and all the other big names I've seen.

Now, if I can get to see Armin...

hey Manhunter.. i was there too.. was near the front... i too think that this was one of the best shows i've been too and if ya like trance.. you should come see me spin at G-spot Thursday's.. Ambiguous
