Not only does the family have to come to grips with the death of the soldier, they were lied to about how he died, and then the wrong body was sent home.

I am disgusted by this, and I feel for the family. For starters, how do you lose a coffin drapped in the Australian flag? And why is the return of the deceased being left to a contactor, and not handled by the department of defence.

A member of an elite regiment shoots himself while 'cleaning' his gun. Give me a break.. These guys are professional's, and the last thing they'd do would be to clean a loaded gun. Isnt it convenient that he was also shot cleanly in the head. The truth is, is that this wasnt an accident. He either killed himself, or was involved in an incident with enemy fighters (or even someone from his own group).

and for the local media to sit there and claim that he was having the time of his life over there in Iraq... showing pictures of his smiling, seemingly enjoying being away from a wife and two young kids. You find me anyone who would enjoy war over time with their young family. It makes me sick, all this lying bullshit. tell us what it's really like over there!

Pretty much every Marine has a good time over there. Yes, he could've been loading his gun but the chances of him shooting himself with it? kinda slim. but maybe he was a total idiot? who knows. but yeah losing it is fuxored up.
