I know a guy who tested the X-9 already, and personally what I got from him was : stay away for now. After a week some stuff from the mixer already broke. And after some time, similar reports came in too.
Sure the sound is good , the features are nice (2x sampler, parametric EQ, ...), but I'd say wait some more to see if the reliability is a real problem (maybe they'll sort things out). THE X-9 is still new (Tascam is a reputable manufacturer in pro audio, but they are still pretty new in the dj business, the CD-302 had some major probs as well it seems).
I'd say the DJM500/600 is still a good choice if you are looking for a hands on mixer, with good sound and build quality and nice features.
But (and I'm totally biased here, cuz I own one ) if you look for the absolute top quality in sound and build, but features like samplers and FX aren't that important at the moment (I myself like to buy everything apart, so I can choose according to my needs), and of course have the money, get the Xone you won't be disappointed...
