well, I hate my job and I try and do the shittiest job i can while at least being able to to get my money so i can go back to school and fulfill my dream of working at Nissan autotec.
Well anyways, this salesperson comes up the register, lets play with his name, Mysaq and its a big sale. He's got replacement plans, platinum upgrades, membership, the works, u know? So i'm like whatever, maybe I'll help out this time. So I offer them Laptop Lojack. Basically, its a software that'll ping back your computer from their servers to give a general location of its whereabout should it be stolen.
so anyways, Mysaq starts rambling about GPS and I put on my "wtf" face. My co-worker greg comes up from behind me and I already know what hes about to whisper:
"BULLSHIT"
now i'll do anything to be an asshole, but i won't COMPLETELY cheat a customer out of their cash unless i'm getting some compensation. $90 for a ping, but no GPS?
I'm like "woah woah woah there Mysaq. NO "ya, there is no GPS on this stuff man." and he goes "well it tracks it by satellite." And I'm like "woah owah woah there Mysaq NO It's a simple matter of pinging." So he gives me this loook and the customers like like "dong?"
So mysaq then starts talking about how a thief can't reformat and delete it because it sits underneath the hard drive. I'm like "woahh wwoh woah there Mysaq NO. It lays beneath the operating system." And Mysaq goes, "well ya, exactly"
Anyways, I have no idea why, but the customers went along with it and bought it as well.
I felt like i was in a "whos on first whats on second" situation.
Mysaq doesn't like me anymore.
