harmonic mixing question

Is there a formula for mixing with the camalot chart to get key changes that are strong? for people that dont know what im talking about here is an example. lets say you have a song in 7a and you count (clockwise) to 4a, and then you mix the track with 4b. Your mixing a minor A to a major.

what im intrested in learning is how to get an effect like when the bassline changes and the song changes mood but you still have the melodies not clash. Ive done it before but i cant remember what the formula was. Any help?

**I havnt had any coffee yet, so if you dont get what im saying sorry**

I have no idea what the hell you are doing. But I just use MixMiester and find out what keys all the songs are. I then just mix the songs that are in the same keys. I think if you want to go one key higher you have to make the song go 6% faster.

for the camelot system you can move from a 7a to 6a or 8a and from a 7a to a 7b...i know that is for sure acceptable...also keep in mind that while a certain song may be in a totally different key than another it can still mix fine because certain songs don't clash as much as other. However, the rule is as pointed out.

i know the sticky is long but it really does answer all and every harmonic-related questions.

anywayz, in camelot you can

+1
+4
+7
-1
-3

i break major/minor rules too when i have to. most of the time i cant tell. and if i cant tell, the audience certainly isnt gonna.
