I loaded your programs into the demo, you got some good sounds out of this thing. There's several of them I particularly like, and would probably use in productions. I'm still clueless on how to tweak some of the sounds, I mean this is the most unfriendly VSTi I've ever seen for tweaking. I can't even figure out how to set the attack on that swoosh sound you created. Ah well, if I end up buying Rapture I guess I'll have to read the manual. It seems to me this is a synth geared more toward sound designers. |
I think the problem with Rapture and tweaking is the learning curve associated with it. However, once you learn it, there is virtually nothing it cannot do. Although I'm not a huge fan of the presets either (some are great though), I have learned quite a bit from reverse engineering them.
On the swoosh sound, just go to the AMP (amplitude) of both element 1 and 2, enable the EG (envelope generator) and create an ascending curve to raise the volume over time (probably a short time for this case).
Here is the modified program I created for the Swoosh. Feel free to mess with it to your liking:

Here is the curve I was referring to on the Amplitude. Remember, you have to do this for both elements since both elements 1 and 2 are being used.
