Exporting Midi in Fruityloops

Hey guys, is it possible to export a midi from fruityloops that keeps the notes and the pattern. If so, could you guys teach me? Thank you! :-)

yeah... replace your channels with midi out (can be found from the channels' list) and then select export to midi. there's also a setting in the options that you need to check, which is the prepare for midi output option. it will prompt you when u select export to midi if you haven't have that on.

btw, i have a question myself too. sometimes when i load a midi, some of the soft synths somehow won't play the notes. what's the problem? i had to re-draw the notes to fix it. is there any better solutions?

Hey. This process is extremely simple. Its jsut a few clicks and youre done . Go to Tools > Macros > Prepare for MIDI export. This works for up to 16 different instruments since thats the max number of channels you can have in GM.

Cheers,
Zac

I dont use fruity but my guess would be to check the velocity and any other midi messages the clip might have. I used to load midi clips that would change my vsti's patches and I would go crazy as hell getting confused.
Its probably not it but doesnt hurt to try help someone.

there are no problem with the velocity... and i'm pretty sure about it because it only happens to some vsti only... let's say it doesn't work with reaktor and if i replace it with 3xosc, it works fine...

Some synths dont read all MIDI instructions though, or dont read them correctly. impOSCar for instance gets quieter when you increase note velocity. Its gets harder and louder when you reduce it.

Some synths like ABL dont respond to velocity at all except when going above 100/127 - then it just triggers an accent instead.

Some synths dont even respond to velocity in the piano roll at all.

Theres nothing wrong with FL's velocity sensitivity. Its whether or not third party software takes advantage of it thats the problem.

FL reads keyboard velocity sensitivity (where applicable) but theres no guarantee that a VST plugin will be able to read that information.
