I used to think like you, but now, its a matter of convenience, over savings. I know what this mixer used to retail for, and I know what he paid for it. I knew it was in good condition, and FWIW, I think I got a good deal and helped a good guy get good value for a good investment he made a while back.
I just sold my DJM 500 for what I paid for it, so again, I got my money back.
These things hold their value, even though you can get them on ebay or wherever else for cheaper and new.
I guess Im just impatient, but at the same time, I dont mind helping some one out, because when ever I want to sell my gear, I know there are guys who want no hassle, well taken care of gear, and are willing to pay for that convinience of being local.
So FWIW, i think I paid a fair price, but Im sure your imput will help out some day, those who dont have the extra cash for that convenience.
And I know there are plenty of new mixers out there, but Im stubburn, dont need midi and the other bells and whistles. I love Pioneer, what can I say?
