Waves plugins much better than logic 7 factory ones?
Was wondering if the waves plugins are much better than the ones the come with Logic 7 (effects, compressors, eqs etc.)
There are many threads about awesome 3rd party synths, how bout some awesome 3rd party fx/dynamic plugins?
What do you guys recommend? Just buying the big waves bundle or should I but each one separatly like buy delay from ohmforce ohmboyz and then get a compressor from another company or just get the delay from waves plugins?
I have used Logics fx/dynamics for a long time now and i want to expand to more powerfful 3rd party stuff. Yes you can do stuff with logic factory like take es2 for example.. you can do a lot with that synth however if you have a v-station or vanguard/pro 53 , you have that 3rd party power to take your music to new heights. However instead of synths im trying to find 3rd party inserts (fx, comp etc)
To be honest I really dont want to go hardwware so if you guys can mention some nice products that would be awesome. Thanks.

Did you know you can download a 14 day demo of the waves bundles?
By the way. i still prefer ES2 over the synths you mention, but thats just my preference.

Then you're being illegal or bankrupt as well
From the days I worked with logic 5, I remember I didn't need much plug-ins because the internal ones are really great, much better than cubase plug-ins.
@ david-james, ES2 is still the best-sounding softsynth I've ever used.

Yes, tbh they're the only ones you'll need. The quality is top notch and since they are logic's internal ones, they are better on cpu. G&D only use logic. If someone gave me a mac I wouldn't doubt one second and return to logic (cubase 4 looks sexy tho)

Ive used logic for a extremely long time and love it. But far as plugins go there are better and they do cost $$$. The waves REN comp and eq are excelent plugins "still" even though they are very date. IMO the comp sounds very analog. I also enjoy the psp plugins alot for adding character, same goes for the ohmforce stuff. All of which ive picked up off the logic users group through group buys. Its been a slow transition replacing all the logic plugins but it has deffinately been worth it.
