any particular reason why he chose that one? because my firewall is going ape shit at me
nehh..
If its a DDOS it would be more than one person . Also if its truly a DDOS basically its just sending enough information so that your machine cant handle it and crashes so the port is not really relevant. As far as i know that port is not standard for any common program, maybe you have some prog that uses that port? Just block his IP in your firewall, and you should be ok.

At that point you kind of crossed the rubicon and you might as well lay siege to Rome

might be port scanning you for a backdoor. usually they use high port numbers when setting up ftps and the like. It might seem like a ddos attack, but it could just be them scanning.
nothing to worry about.

well im assuming whoever is behind this little lame attack is working solo and with the help of proxies and such (i dunno, im no h4x0r)
the port itself is blocked anyway, just shows up on my firewall (its not going to crash any time soon but its kinda annoying)

they are awfully interested in port 19606. remote ports and adresses change all the time (fair enough if it was a solitary ip just filling my firewall log, but this kid is after something)
