I'm not sure if I'd help you much by commenting on the samples, but what I'll say is that there are particular rules in music theory for making a good melodic line which work most of the time, especially for classical derivatives like trance. Obviously in order to come up with anything original you'll have to bend or break the rules, but if you find it difficult making melodies then I'm sure that it would be helpful for you to brush up on them.
I can't really go into minute detail here but I'm sure some of the theory links in the tutorial thread must have some sections on melodies and counterpoint.
