it's obvious that cubase is much more used worldwide than sonar. this question is really useless..

and yes, i'm using cubase 4 and SX3 at the moment..

I have been using sonar since version 2 (now using v6) at my home studio and i use cubase 4 at work and the only thing i can tell you is that both these program can deliver professionnal results if you know how to use them. I think however that sonar is best suited to work with audio now more then ever with the new audio snap fonction also the audio routing is the most intuitive of any DAW i have ever seen . cubase is much better to work with midi, in particular if you have lot of midi hardware ... the device pannel fonction really help to integrate your hardware in the software environement

i've was on sonar from 3-5 but it was too much of a CPU load for me so i switched to ableton until i got a dual core... and i've been with ableton every since.

i can tell you sonar was a terric platform to learn on and the forums were ofHUGE help for me.

anyways, DAW's are tough because each has a few things that make the more appealing. Sonar's audio cutting/splicing and the awesome plugs/synths that come with it are a treat. Ableton is just my all around solution for everything so i use it for... well everything
