As a child I was brainwashed from my siblings that FoMoCo was the enemy and Chevy ruled.

Odviously, my opinions have changed since then and I've been really warming up with Ford's recent offerings.

the thing that really appeals to me (other than simply the performance) is that they didn't go way over the top with the styling.

it looks great...but not ridiculous. Just different enough from the regular mustangs to give it's owner that feeling of prestige, but still understated enough to not draw too much attention.
