I would agree with that. When people say that they like a song, they usually say why and you start to sub-consciously make a list of things to look out for. So when you listen to the song again, you listen for those specific parts. Sometimes you like them, and sometimes you don't. What determines if you like the whole song is like a scale in your head, and the negatives weigh out against the positives. This decision making process goes on in your head every time you listen to the song. Thats why sometimes after listening to a single song multiple times in a row, you start to like it less and less. This is because the negatives just received a new member: repetition. And if the negative and the positives were about even in the first place, the song gets old, and you don't like it anymore. (This is why there are so many rap "hits" and they come and go faster then you can think)
Now, psychology aside, if you are one of those people who change their opinion just to fit others, then thats a whole different story.
