If anything, it's progressive rock.

Either way, Blake sounds like a perfect fit for this remix.

If you've ever heard "Thumpie" you know what I'm talkin' bout!

The original is a 'very very amazing tune', this remix hasn't brought anything new to the table. All it sounds like is he's added his usual bassline. 5/10 at the most.

I agree, i listened to it and i'm not impressed. I'm not a big fan of double tempo edm overdubs. However i don't think it is an attempt to bring anything new to the table.

I'll stick to the live version from The Division Bell tour on PULSE, best track ever.

we definitely werent trying to be "cutting edge" with this, redoing pink floyd with hoovers 303's and wide open filters wouldnt sound good.

we just wanted to make something playable.

we did add alot, but it was all organic sounds, so its not going to be obvious as to what we added (basslines, drums, choirs, strings, fx, pads, etc), but if you listen to the original versus the remix you will definitely hear what we did. also, bootlegging severly limits you to what you can add, there is only so much headroom for new sounds, so you cant expect much.

I really think this remix stays very true to the original tune, something projects like this oftentimes don't really do and should. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a solid new take on an old favorite, but there are some classics that really don't need much and this is one of them.

I think you guys did a great job Blake - I really enjoy this one

I understand that, it's sort of what i was trying to say. But i just thought the amazement expressed by the thread starter was unproportionate, in spite of it being a decent work given the circumstances, which would be the limitaions inherent to this type of bootleg remixing. I'm into production, so i understand what the process is like.
