Mixing was to be honest was generally a bit sloppy, but no offense meant as you are probably still learning (?) but the actual audio quality really makes it hard to listen to it, not sure if you had problems upping this to your computer.
So i guess it really depends how long you've been mixing for, but the only thing to say is keep practicing and you'll get tighter!

It was actually my first real mix. And yes my equipment is quite limited especially for recording. One thing I've noticed (and started working on) since I made it is other peoples conversions between songs. Mine came out muddy cause I was mainly mixing bass first then bringing in the rest of the song. It creates more of a "sloppy" mixture cause the main thing you are listening to besides the pretty melody (the bassline) is just getting mashed together instead of switched.
The recording side is cause I have to record out of my mic input on my laptop...
As I said, first actual mix.
Thanks for the reply!

Ah right that makes sense about the sound quality. No other way for you to do it?
For example i record my mixes onto my mini disc player, then hook the mini disc to the computer, it's a real hassle but the only way, as my computer is in a different room to my dj set up.
Well i have to say for a first mix it's pretty good! You should've heard my early mixes, , very poor indeed, but just keep at it Jakor and i'd really like to hear another one of your mixes in a few months time. What i noticed when i first started mixing and recording myself is that you'll make a fix in a few months time and listen to it and when you compare it to the older mix you'll see how much you've progressed and it's a good feeling to know that you're getting better.
I don't quite understand, you're mixing in the bass then bringing in the rest of the song? Generally you should just have all the levels around the same and bring each one up a notch as you maybe bring down a notch each level of the first tune. But as for style and stuff like that, best to concentrate on the main thing, the beat matching then style comes later.
