nowhere even near Escape to be honest. Weakest intuition release to date. One tear away is ok but tending to cheeze, the other two tunes do notihng for me...

Medusa is quite ok; but sounds a lot like a rework of Genie.
The other 2 are pretty cheesy. A weak release indeed.

i think airbase is technically one of the best trance producers about & all three of these are really solidly put together.. but musically they didn't do much for me. rest in peace especially had loads of potential but just feels a bit too 'happy' & the main lead sounded like something out of a cheesy anime romance or something.. i'd have much prefered it to be more minimal & subtle. one tear away was ok, but slightly borderline cheese again.. might end up growing on me but might do the opposite, can't tell yet. medusa was forgettable..
jezper if you're reading this, i love your sound but think you should try making slightly darker tracks (not techy i mean, cos i know you already do that with the parc stuff) with less in-your-face melodies & more emphasis on atmosphere.. but keeping the energy & pace of your regular stuff. just my opinion

Nothing special in my opinion, most I like from this EP is "Rest in Peace", however "One Tear Away" is also nice I don't like "Medusa" at all, definitly the worst one for me from this EP When I'm listen to those tunes, I always think that Airbase did them not beacuse he want, but because he must and in my opinion all tune made with this feeling always will be week for me

One Tear Away is amazing. Surely the best of the EP. I also love Rest In Peace,it's something different from all those trance tunes out there. It reminds me of some games remixes which can be found in the net ( http://www.vgmix.com and http://remix.overclocked.org ),only this tune is better produced than the majority of those games remixes. Medusa has that old uplifting sound/feeling to it and it's amazing how most people wished someone to get back to basics and when someone does it they call his tune cheese etc. Not surprising really in this forum . Overall it's an amazing EP from Airbase and the major thing is that these tunes doesn't sound the same (as we know that a lot of producers have the same sound in almost every track of them). One Tear Away is an epic trance tune,Medusa is an old school tune and Rest In Peace is a bit experimental. Variety and quality in this EP Keep up the great work Jezper

Im surprised with this 3 tracker as clearly his strongest tune in years "Roots" is left on the sidelines. Medusa is okay but like someone said sounds like a rehashing of his older tunes like Emotion and Genie. The remix of Jamaster A and "Roots" are a lot better than anything shown here

How, exactly?
old school from his point of view is around 2003-2004. I'm not kidding. I had a discussion with a producer which had several of his tunes played on ASOT. He still called the early 2000 trance old skool. :S
