Now I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this isn't Islam across the board, but I'd like some more background on this.

Personally, I think this is about as backwards as backwards can be; when are they going to get into the 21st Century??

Old testament bible was into the wife-whipping and child abuse too and not exactly a great measure of equality or humanitarian endorsements... heck, it got a lot worse when it reached europe.

But there's an easy, modern day solution to this kind of behaviour, comes in high velocity hollowpoints at point blank and lawyers to sort out the mess after.
