keep in mind its a cheap synth, you can get one new for very little money.

It has the Supersaw waveform, audio inputs and USB/VST intergration.

Its more appropriate than the microKorg i would think.

Im not really into the supersaw..why would you say its more appropriate? because of the ease of use?

yes, its designed to teach basic synthesis.

That being said, i personally wouldnt buy any of them.

i like the microkorg more specifically for its vocoding

but for an overall synth the sh-201 i think is a better option

i think however if you are going for a really dirty (ed banger records) sound maybe the microkorg is a better option?

or get a second hand Korg MS2000(r), which is the same engine as the microkorg but with a knobby interface

It looks ok and its cheap as.

Ultimatley I want a synth mainly for bass, fairly dirt sound and on a tight budget

i have the microkorg. it's good but the polyphony can be limiting at times. when a patch uses dual oscillators, the polyphony is actually reduced to two :/ in any case, it's a unique synth and programming makes for many possibilities. i don't know much about it, but you may also want to consider the comparable alesis micron synth.
