Theres alot of assholes who go clubbing in LA. Sucks, but thats just the way it is, usually they're buying the most drinks and paying full price to get in...

Hello again everyone,
I just wanted to say that whenever I party at the big LA clubs (Avalon, Spundae, Vanguard, etc) I start to feel uneasy. It seems like everyone is staring each other down. I've noticed people huddle together within their group of friends and seem to pass judgment at other people in the club. For example, if some guy isn’t so good at dancing you'll see people snickering away in the back. Or if you see some guy really "messed" up again you see laughing away. While I don’t like to get "messed" up I can understand if some people want to take some drugs or whatever and have their own pleasant experience for the time being.
Basically it seems like we're in high school again. You remember those times...how can we forget I mean we just passed those years. Yes adolescence was fun but you have to admit the stupid little cliques in highschool were rather immature when you think about it
Why can’t everyone just respect other patrons in the club. If they might not have fashionable "clubbing" attire...so? If they dance awfully...so? As long as no one is physically harming you why can people just respect each other. Isn’t this the essence of EDM?
Why do we have to pass judgment on other people who might be different? What you think you are superior in some way b/c you act "normal" at these clubs?
This is my biggest complain against the LA scene. I guess it has to do with the town we live in...Hollywood...the Mecca of superficiality
If some person comes up to me, and even if he is “messed up”, and he says hi I welcome this…I don’t go off snickering with my group of friends
while i dont disagree that these things do happen, why does it matter if people want to pass judgement or not? thats their perogative. im not saying its necessarily right but dont bother worrying about the stupid shit in life such as this! worry about things that matter. such as your well being. your safety. your future. your gf if you have one. your friends. if someone doesnt like you move on.

You don't get any of that BS at CIRCUS. It's probably one of the very few clubs where you can come as you are and just be yourself.

I'm surprised you feel that way at electronic clubs. It's usually the "Hollywood" clubs that play hip hop where I feel everyone is looking at each other and trying to act cool.
Why do we have to pass judgment on other people who might be different? What you think you are superior in some way b/c you act "normal" at these clubs?
it would seem to me that they're just masking their own insecurities, but honestly why would it matter?
the next time you feel this way, do this... look at them & see for yourself if they really have the right (so to say) to be judging other people
but in all reality, i dont see it!
ive gone to Avalon & Vanguard a million times & each time im there i meet new people, sometimes a lot, sometimes not, but cool people nonetheless
i had a friend who thought the same way almost everytime we went out & evenutally i had to tell him "it's all in your head"
cuz it was, way too para for anyone's good

It's a club...keyword CLUB. One step away from a wooden "no girls allowed" sign out front. People want to be special, and the more "exclusive" the club or good the hookup, the better people with no lives feel

I don't pay attention to these things at all. I just go to have a great time with my friends and enjoy the music and drinks. Screw what everyone else thinks.

Exactly...
im a dork... the EDM scene is the only place where i can release my inner-dorkness...
but what i really like about the EDM scene (regardless of place), is that i can tell myself, "fuck em, they just dont feel it like i feel it"...
however, i do sometimes wish the washing machines would turn it down a notch... no disrespect to style of dance'n, but it gets a little annoying when someone is bump'n into me and mess'n up my cloud 9
