nice chill trance track

it takes a long time to get going though
some more fx would add to it nicely

i really like the melody at 4.45
but maybe change the sound of the synth that comes in at that time

i could definatley see this in the background of something

Awesome atmosphere! But I have to agree with sm44, the intro is too long. Otherwise, great dark melody!

Thanks, I'm working it to hopefully a big anthem when the kick stops at the end... I'm loving the bassline myself at the moment.

My comments are best when I comment as I listen:

The intro is grand. Because I'm rather concerned about experimentation, your intro worked well for me. You can change it for everyone else if you want.

The organ-synth reminds me of progressive. It is warm and dark, low-key, and stable. THe reverb on that synth is ace and it carries the piece away from the intro appropriately. Good filters on the hats (not foreboding). HOwever, your buildup with that synth repeats two times too many.

Excellent bass, pads, and wind effects. This is very dreamy, and I love it. In fact, this kind of reminds me of deep house, though I really don't listen to much of that genre. INteresting use of a hoover-synthy texture. One problem with the track in a technical sense, is that the kick's dominate frequencies become masked to the point where it sounds more like a click than anything.

I'm not sure I like that high-pitched synth. THere is a little too much dissonance for it to fit nicely, but I'm sure that some people like it. Perhaps if it was lighter and more like an effect than a piercing synth -- who knows.

Too bad it's not finished. Usually when I post trance like this that stops at the breakdown, it is because I'm frustrated with it and wish that it were finished RIGHT now (but that's just me). Good luck with it, man, and keep is up. Solid track, you just need to rework the repetition, and that dissonant synth.

Thanks B_man, a good way of reviewing is definatley writing as you listen.

I do need to fill up the track and get it building up more to something big...stay tuned

I like the atmosphere that this track has, it really gives it some feeling. Crits would be maybe the hihat you use throughout could change a bit, it sounds as though its lo quality. And theres a high pitched synth that comes in near the end that sounds out of tune and place, change that around and it'll complement the nice melody you've got going on.

Overall though I like it.
