A freakish Arpeggiator sound I made on my Virus.It might work on other synths as well
I was playing around with my Access Virus Classic synth, and I managed to make this weird Arpeggiator like sound. I don't know what the hell is it, and why it does this.
here's an mp3 sample

All I do there is bashing the note C and A.
Here's the "recipe" for the Virus classic synth. It'd probaly work on other Access Virus synths as well. And maybe it'd work on other synths.
| quote: |
LFO rate = 0
LFO waveform = Sawtooth. (it works on other waveforms as well, but it sounds best with the sawtooth waveform.)
OSC 1 amount = 64 or 127 if possible
Release = 64
Extra
Unison. It sounds devil ish.
Sine wave to make it sound spooky
OSC 2 semitone = -6 or +6 with -1 octave
Enable the Arpeggiator at 1/16
Subosc = triangle
Effects. (reverb, delay, distortion and so on)

I tried doing it with Reason. It works with NN-XT but not as good as it does with the Virus. Because NN-XT won't let you set the LFO at 0. It's limited to 0.3 hz or something.
Now, why does this happen? I'd be glad if someone could explain this to me.
