what program do u use and what settings are good for your mp3s? I'm using winamp right now. what settings should I adjust for the EQ?

I find using a software eq (ie winamp) makes my music sound slightly off. My sound card's a few years old though, which may have something to do with that. I prefer to leave winamp's eq set to auto and adjust the equalizer on my reciever.. seems to produce a better quality sound.

USE YOUR EARS

my soundcard came with all sorts of diagnostic software and stuff for adjusting your sound output, if you have that, tweak it to your liking, if not, use winamp, and again tweak it to your liking.

my output is calibrated perfectly to me, nice seperation between hi's mid's and low's but what is perfect to me may not be perfect for you.

exactly, it's all about preference.

itunes has a lot of eq settings and i think the electronic one is great for EDM
