I also had a Vestax PCV 275. Didn't do this like yours but I can say the sound quality degraded over time, esp when switching to CDJs from vinyl. Really made for vinyl. Anyways it can be one of three things..or all of them perhaps...1. Power over-load (when you go into the red often), or 2. Dust...it might need to be cleaned out. You have to unscrew the faceplate and dust off the insides. 3. it's just an old mixer (which it is..almost 10 years old...even if you bought it recently, it's still from 1998 and is prone to being over-loaded and giving out like any mixer, even newer digital mixers (though I think they can handle more).

I bought a PMC 46 mk2 which wouldnt power up..... no lights etc- same as yours.
10cent fuse from maplin and its good as new.
Open it up and see if there is an internal fuse somewhere. May solve the problem.
Should be easy to find if there is one.
make sure its not plugged in to the mains or any other gear when you open it up. Unless you fancy a new spiky hair cut and a quick brown tan (and pants)

Been a long time since I've seen a 275, but I think they use an external AC adapter?
If you've got a voltmeter handy, check that the adapter is actually putting out voltage. It's not uncommon for these adapters to fail.
Another common failure point is the power switch itself.
most no-powerup problems are the result of a blown fuse, dead power supply, or broken power switch.

Yep, does sound more like a power supply blowing than the fuse going tbh, although check both.
If it does have an external power supply then you're lucky cos that'll be really easy to replace

at least the vestax pcv-175 (which is very similar to the pcv-275) has an external power supply and i think you can find spare ones for 10€ or so.
