T-Pain feat. Young Joc - Buy You A Drank (Mezzir Remix)

Just like my remix of Paulson - Not By A Long Shot, this one came about in a matter of hours. I started this from scratch with just the straight a capella uncut at about 12:15 tonight, and hammered this baby out in the last 3 hours. So as usual, I'm wondering if its just me being really tired, or if this is half-decent. Anyways, give a listen and report back.
thanks

edit: final version's up

i really have no idea what to say, its just to out of my style.

but lets try
i think you should play more with the vocals, and not use them all the time.
percs are good, bassline to.
i think the track its really great. nothing to complain

It's cool, conceptually, but the levels are just way too screwy for me and I'm having trouble enjoying it.

Mind you, I'm listening on crap headphones, but...

- lead sounds way too loud
- percs seem too quiet
- kick almost seems non-existant
- some of the initial vocals/fx are too chopped/random... no subtlety.

Now, at 3:07, with the chopped up vocals... I am really enjoying this. =) That's much better, without that enormously loud lead clouding everything up.

I think I would really enjoy this if that lead would just stfu... I think that's my main complaint. Just a little too "in your face". I'm at 5:15 now and I'm really enjoying the layered vocals done in a round-style. Very cool.

My favorite part is the break at 3:07. If there was more of this somewhat minimized sound throughout more of the track, I'd probably play it out in front of a top 40 crowd to keep their attention when I'm playing house.

Sounds good! You just need to work on mixing to bring the percs to a little more prominent level.
