Can't believe I ignored them for that long!

Phases EP is absolutely timeless, the collaborations with Humate are excellent too, Timebomb is just pure filthy darkness... not to mention some of their brilliant remixes.

Everyone of their tracks has unique structure, the way they evolve is masterful.

After listening to plenty of RITM stuff, they have quickly become one of my favourite artists in the dance music industry

they are good, top stuff imo is dubassex, orisha original + mad on a dub, deeper+dusk, North (actually more humate than ritm that one),actually, no the whole hemispheres ep. best remixes are of 'posession', 'lust', 'are we here', 'caterpillar', 'euphoria' and 'diamond dust'

Probably my favourite EDM band.
FLooRi.D.A. (Rabbit In The Moon's Handled Without Care Mix) and their remix of Lust and Drunk As A Monk are my fav tracks

An absolutely stellar live act, as well. The unfortunate bit is that most of their shows have been the same for years now, but if you've never seen them then I highly, highly suggest it.

they are wicked. Out of body experience ftw.
I also really like their remixes of Bullet in the gun 2000

its all about their live show. actually, now that i think about it, i dont think ive seen a better liveact. so lets just declare this now and make it official: RITM are the best edm live act, ever. better than daft punk definitely. just as their promotional text reads they really are the "led zeppelin/pink floyd of edm".

their shows do vary more than you might think, you might have just been unlucky to see a few shows that were too similiar, but there are probably 3-4 acts that will be cut from the lineup depending on the venue and time they have. all the shows ive seen they change the order and mix parts of different acts into other parts.

example, notice how in this show they do "lets dance" after the swat team bust:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=MV3EwVoS15g

but in this one they do "lets dance" after the theremin/light suit part:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=QOwoeqoY24U

out of the 4 times ive seen them ive only seen them do the swat team bust 1 time, which is a shame because its so awesome. and in that video they dont do the riot where the swat team fights like 20 dirty dusty zombie people on stage. thats one of my favorite parts and they never do it anymore. they're always adding new acts and modifying old ones.

oh and btw, RITM is from TAMPA!! represent! (which IS very, very far removed from atlanta thank you very much)

Ive loved them for a while. I saw them the first time in 97'. Great live show. He was throwing sparks toward the crowd with a grinding wheel while wearing a light suit. Great stuff.

The fact that so many people rave over their live shows is utterly out of my grasp - I've seen them twice now, both times it was the exact same show, and had far more to do with their supposedly endearing (yet utterly obnoxious) "stage presence."

Well I was 17 so it was a bit of seeing something new and a head full of drugs on grad night. Not sure when you saw them but I was still new to the scene and had a positive impact. I havent seen them since live but I like some of their remixes a lot too.

I agree some what...

Their show back in the late 90s was on point...anything after that was a bit of wash imo.
