fyi he's arguing that double standards are necessary.
And anyway, Huntington is a simplistic, senile old man who should have stuck to writing about civil society and democracy.
Huntington carves up the world into sub-groups and says "welp, conflict between these groups is inevitable -- after all, anyone different than 'us' is the enemy" -- his 1994 book was the primary source the neo-cons built the Project for the New American Century on. He's Zionist to the core, arguing that Israel is the one bastion of Western civilization in the middle of the Islamic enemy.
He also hates Hispanic people, though that wasn't clear until his 2004 book.
