I included a link to the youtube video of Tiesto's slowtempo new track. Around 0:43 you'll hear a continuing high brassy like synth come in, it sounds very pulsing, like fading in and out on the beat.

How is this done? I've heard it more often on UmTissUmTiss basses as well. If anyone here's can easily explain it, or has a link to a faq.. or even some keywords to google it.. I would really appreciate it!
