Automation with VST effect plugins in Cubase

Hi,

I'm trying to work out how to send midi to VST plugin effects in Cubase. I'm trying to do this with Camelspace.

Camelspace has a right-click option to do midi-learn and in the manual it says only some DAW's support this. I've checked the Cubase manual and can't find how to set this up.

As always your help is appreciated!!

Reno

Just to clarify, I'm trying to automate the xy pad or any of the knobs in Camelspace either by directly drawing them in or by midi learn and manually adjusting the knobs. Drawing the automation would probably be better for me but I assume once I find out how to do one of these, the other will become clear.

Hit the red W on Camelspace and hit play in Cubase and anything you do to Camelspace will be captured and automated. Once you are done, turn off the red W and turn back on the green R. Then to actually see the automation and manually edit it, right click the track and choose Show Used Automation and you will be able to see what data was recorded for Camelspace and you will be able to adjust with the pencil tool to your liking. There are some other ways to do this, but this method is how I've always done it.
