Started this originally as a remix of Next - Too Close, and I ended up liking it to the point where I wanted to actually use the beat and whatnot for something good, and I had just come across this acapella, so I reworked it for this and fucking love it so far
So yeah, any comments or feedback of any kind would be much appreciated, thanks
edit 1: link updated!
edit 2: (near) final version up
I will check it out when i get home. I liked the original song, so I will give this a shot. i will post feedback when i can.

now that's a damn good bassline, i like it's jumpy nature. the vocal handling is nice aswell. i think it does need a slight trimdown, while it's a good production, it doesn't justify full 12minutes

ahh i'm psyched you checked it out, used your kick
and yeah, i know i need to trim it down a bit. though what do you mean by trimdown specifically?
edit: i read good, i take it the whole trimdown/12 minutes deal was one thought, gotcha
You opposed to me blending this in one of my mixes?

Haha, YES! That bassline just hooks you in! I really like this track, it has a wonderful, enjoyable quality to it.
I liked it so much I just had to comment to encourage you to make more songs like this. Good job, mezz.

The bassline is just 100% infectuous. Love it! My only suggestion is that it really sounds dampened in some of the frequency ranges. I think just a little bit of a final mixdown with some compression and EQ would make the elements pop more. All this needs is a tiny bit more pop. Awesome stuff!
I'd say. The "ooh ooh oh oh ooooh ooh" echoing track from the original really stands out, doesn't need anything.. also at 7:00 minutes, the high drums are definitely substantial. But they feel kind of squeezed or muffled a bit. Not crisp.
Anyways. Just nitpicking on what's already sounding terrific!

thanks errbody
and yeah, idk what the fuck's with the percs around the final breakdown, i swear there's no automation but they sound like shit near the end when they're fine the rest of the track, thats one of the things i'm going to fix
I like this a lot - the overlaying of the vocals is really cool, and the bassline as everyone has said is great.
The one thing I would comment on has already been said - something in the percussion coming out of the breakdown sounds a bit off... but other than that this is class work!

yeah i think i got a ghots in the machine or something
i have one track just for fx, and there's only one sample thats triggered in the entire song in that channel, just because i wanted to layer two sounds. however, there's a really crazy automation pattern of eq'ing and i have no idea how it got there, and if that could be it, so i'm workin on it. final version should be aroudn soon
