The picture you posted reminds of those weeks I spent on the beach in Spain, listening to trance, talking to gorgeous girls, and ofcourse meeting people from the netherlands EVERYWHERE.
While sitting there in sun, drinking my cocktail, feeling the summerbreeze flowing over the beach..
the sun steadily begins to se.. *gets shot in the head*
Oh no wait. that was the generic disturbing sound when you finished a download.
First of all, I had to turn down my volume all the way, thats because I render my own tracks at a rediculously low volume.
The track has a very nice groove RIGHT from the start, something I still find hard to achieve, seem never to program some great percs.
You progressed alot I have to say mate, a very nice bass sound, a deep full kick. (the combination of both makes it sound a tad 2000 though). (omfg, i feel like a fashiondesigner.. OMG THATS SOO 2007)
VoICES voices...
nice fx on 2:31, well done! a fine lead comes in.. which imo could be turned up to stand out a little bit more from the kick/bass.
Another paddy/lead comes in creating a nice flow, deep kick and bass still pounding through it.. shamefully.
At first you seem to get everything right with the space you create in the track, but on the second half everything seems "pushed" together, like there's a brickwall compressor on it..
The melody is nice, soothing, real summer style, and you can definitly hear you put a TON of effort in this track. Plus I can even hear your enthousiasm, which is great
Keep up the great stuff mate!

wel there is no compressor on just that part.. i kind of wanted it that way to keep the calmness of the track aswell, so it wouldnt lose it that much..
thanks for the feedback mate, zeer gewaardeerd!!

outstanding track. very innovative and appealing right from the start, big sounding but not overcrowded, sounds like its much work put down with all the atmosphere. definately get my mind on some tropical fantasies here. |
Thanks mate, there was put quite some effort in it alright.. really went for it with this one.. glad you like it!

I like the overall idea of this track but the overall sound is very crunchy. I'm not sure if your'e runnin distortion plugins or if you compressed it too heavily on the main channel. I liked it though very soothing and very chill. Honestly if you don't mind i'd like to try my hand at remixing it. send me a PM if interested |
there is nothing wrong with the compression, its probably the slight volume boost i gave it. glad you like it though!

^^ I agree with all of this, the track definitely sounds a bit crammed and the sounds are definitely competing with each other, which is a shame cos some of them are really nice sounds! Some mastering should fix this though ... Definitely a lot of effort in this tune, and the melody has some potential if you give the lead synth a little more depth and work with the levelling

thanks for the reply man, i can see your point about the sounds competing with each other, but you really have to listen closely to hear that, otherwise it would go by without noticing it.. more depth in the lead would be a good idea, but i dont want to put to much more in the track otherwise it will lose the calmness a bit. ill look into it, thanks mate.
