Speaker Humming

Hi all, i've been looking around for a solution for this problem, but no one seemed to have the same set up as me...

so here's the deal. i've got a set of computer speakers. since i didn't want to spend too much money, i didn't want to buy a hardcore stereo system for my dvd player, ps2, 360, and computer. what i found was a audio/video selector from radioshack at a reasonable price. what it allowed me to do was connect my speakers to the switch, as well as my devices, and easily switch from what i wanted to output using a few buttons...
however, i noticed that when i had speakers on and the switch set to the computer, and nothing playing, there was a low hum (50-60 Hz). when i connect the speakers straight to the computer...no problem...and when i put the switch on any of the other devices, there was also no trouble...
i was thinking it might be a grounding problem, but i checked in the computer and it all seemed to be good...i'm at a loss of what to do now...any ideas?

It's probably a >>>Ground Loop<<< issue. Make sure all the stuff is connected via the same earth.

EDIT: LOL at how long it took to get that answered btw should have just posted in the COR.

yea...i thought about that, but they're very straight for the most part; they go over a good distance;
i will try the ground loop isolator thingy and see if that works...
