You could also check out local listings on Craigslist. I haven't done it myself, but you could inspect it in person as well as conduct the transaction locally as well.

I never buy anything used, when you get something new you're 99% sure itll work and if it doesnt you have the peace of mind that you can take it back. Theres pretty much no local shops where I am so I had to get my DJing gear off the internet, I got them new however. My advice is go with new, and if you have any local stores then all the better so you can check them before you buy and take them away.

most mixers have user replacable crossfaders etcetera, but they do cost, quite a lot in some cases but your warranty usually pays for a bit of it within a given period.
