not surprised. they never really brought any good consistent shows. fuck em i guess.

read in the paper about this. was mainly due to location. staff every night had to be escorted by security to their cars, and patrons were upset due to the fact that children would circle the parking lots/entrance on their bikes just asking for money.

Glad I got to check it out before it closed.. Definitely was a unique venue, but as Pat said they did not have a consistent stream of good artist.. Location has a big play in the downtown scene, and this makes me wonder whether the other clubs there like Vagabond are going to make it to WMC 09...

Quite Frankly.. that area sucks. So is most of downtown but atleast you have the little clubbing district by Space to PawnShop where you can feel a tad bit safer. [constant flow of ppl]

Sucks about it closing down but totally understandable.

IMO you have to give credit to the owners for building the most extravagant club Miami has ever seen.

On the down side, the crowd sucked, so did the staff, and apparently the food was awful.

They do not deserve any credit at all. They wasted all that money on a venue in the shittiest part of town for property they did not even own, signed a guaranteed lease, and are now in the hole for over 20 million.

That's the general consensus, but the venue itself was cool.

I had a blast during WMC there catching hawtin, mistress and green velvet among others.

dam that was a nice venue. was there for the am only party for WMC. was diggin all the flat screens.

I agree. I thought AM Only @ WMC 08 was one of the best parties I've ever seen.

What's going to happen to the building? I heard Pacha was thinking about buying it?
