it just means that you cannot write anymore data to the CD. Usually you could still write data to CD-R's. A multi-session CD uses this principle.. you write stuff in the first session, then the next day you add some other stuff to it.. for multi-sessioniability you need a special arrangement in the TOC (table of contents) and it prolly takes up extra space..

always finalize!
e.g with audio CDs
dont finalize, uve wasted a nice cd-r

Well the only way to fit a little over 700mb is too finalise.

So it had to be done.

Then cd is full, and u cant add anymore to it

Nero automatically makes a cd multi session, or atleast should with default settings, so you can add stuff to the cd after wards, by continuing a multi-session

What is overburning? And does Nero support it? I haven't been able to find that option anywhere.

i dotn know...all i know is that my burner supports it...

try checking out www.NERO.com they have a very informative help section with thousands of FAQs and troubleshooting tips...plus i saw a section where they speak about overburning and the such...

Finalizing was explained above, but basically, if you choose this option you can't write to the CDR again once the burning session is done.

Overburning is writting over the 'allowed' burning area. Not all burners can physically do this because the CDR head simply won't allow it. It can physically harm the CDR which is why there's always lots of warning if you're going to do this.

Remember that each (multi)session takes about 30 mb extra. So if you want to use all 700 megs, don't use multisession, and then you'll be able to burn up to 703 mb.
