My thoughts on the Vestax 275 and Technics 1200 M3D
Well we had a dj "dj" party last night (or if you wanna be technical this morning )
we had 3 Technics 1200 M3D's and 2 Vestax 275's and about 3000+ records (everyone brought a few bags )
well.....it was the first time I ever used it...while it was turned on.........i have to tell you..it felt a little awkward
it felt like heavy.....it took some getting used to....the headphone queueing was a little wierd at first...i'd say its a good mixer, but i think ill stick with my DJM600.....either that or buy a Vestax 275 so I can learn it better
ok........1200 M3D........ewww........me no likey the clickless pitch control . It just doesnt feel right. . that pitch reset is a joke
I am so glad i bought MKIIs
it was still lots of fun.....i got a chance to meet some new dj friends and play on different gear

oh.....we also discussed headphones
BWAHAHAHHA
My friend had his Sony MDR700's..........they were broke
the funny thing was was that he even said "Every person I know who has the Sony's has had them brake. They just dont last"
then he added this later..."I need to get me the Pioneer SEDJ5000s because they are a workhorse"
hehe..i saved the night because i brought my headphones (Pionner SEDJ5000s)

Personal preferences my friends! Of course it feels odd if it's the first time you use it! So many people say the Vestax 275 is the best mixer for the money out there, that it surely kicks butt! If you just bought two M3D and that mixer brand new I assure you - you won't have regrets.
Then again, billions of flies can't be wrong either - sh*t must taste good! =)
love,
Tommi

By no mean am i down playing the Vestax 275. It is indeed an awesome mixer. It just felt weird as it was my first time using it...and that I am so used to my Pioneer DJM600.
i really liked the levels and the crossfader curve was excellent...heck at times they're was no need to use the line faders

Oh and like I said before...the clickless pitch just doesnt feel right
I enjoy how the click feels
other than that its a great table....although i see no need for that headshell/cartridge holder
it looks like you shot the turntable lol (empty hole)
if you learned on it then i guess its no problem.....as for me (spinning for 5 years already) its just no kosher

yeah, i suppose the clickless pitch could throw you off. but, i have heard that the click at 0 is a real pain in the ass sometimes mixing around the click.
as for the headshell hole.. i think it's kinda cool, i bought some concorde style headshell/needles, and i store the ones that came with my technics in those holes..
where do you put yours?

I have never had any problems mixing around the Zero.
i store my cartridges in their case's...i wouldnt have it any other way.
i paid well over $100 a piece and im not going to keep them out in the open where they can get damaged.
