May be that what it is? I am at work and I listened to it while reading. I can’t say I fell asleep but it just played itself out in the background of my concentrating on something else. I guess that’s exactly what happeneds when you listen to music all day at work through your headphones.

yeah i find that happening when im preoccupied, music just doesn't register as well when you're not focused on it. lucky for me until next week i'm a complete bum and don't have anything to focus on. !
