Right, today, I got my DAncevalley ticket in the post
Now, i need to figure out :
1: How to get to the Sparnewould recreation area from Amsterdam
2: Decent accomodation in Amsterdam before and after Dancevalley
3: Any useful Dutch (as long as it doesn't involve saying 'Ik hou fan pijpen' to another bloke!)
It would help if people who had been to the festival before would add their contributions, as they would know best.
Also, anyone up for a TA meet up? I think some other UKTA's, as well as Twilogodess and Redeye are making their way to the event, it would be cool if a meetup could happen!
1. You can go by train or bus from Amsterdam Central Station to Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station, from where specially arranged (and free of charge ) buses will take you to Spaarnwoude Recreational Area. To my knowledge there aren't any buses going directly from Central Station to Spaarnwoude, but maybe someone can correct me
At the end of the party you can take the bus back to Sloterdijk Station and take the train from there to Amsterdam Central (the last train leaves at 1:31 the 3rd of August so that should be late enough )
2. Maybe someone else can answer this question, cause I don't know any decent, not too expensive accomodations in Amsterdam.
3. Hmm usefull Dutch phrases.... hmmm Let me think about it for a while

Question 1: See Ding Chavez, there are busses from A'dam CS to the festival terrain.
Question 3:
Where can i buy XTC? -> "Waar kan ik goede pillen kopen"?
Hi, you are a fine looking chick -> "Hallo, jij ziet er goed uit!"
You know where Tiesto spins? -> "Weet jij toevallig waar Tiesto draait?"
I'm a UKTA, and i'm here for fun and partying -> "Ik ben een trancefreak uit Groot Brittanië en ik kom hier voor feesten en plezier"
One advice: buy your food-tokens EARLY..(when you arrive), cause when its lunch/dinner time, there will be a queue of 1 hour or more..
And another advice: dont go home when the festival ends, go home a hour/half an hour earlier. Last year was a MESS!
Greetz,

everyone speaks English so the Dutch isn't realle necessary
Ok so buy all tokens early. I'll definately remember that cos at the NYE 2001 at the Millenium Dome, the queues to buy drinks tokens were quite long and the queues at the abr were even longer!
I read somewhere that at the last dancevalley festival, there weren't enough buses, (like only 30 or something) then it started to rain, then 100 people got hypothermia and 2 died!
Does anyone know the line-up information yet, cos dancevalley.nl doesn't have anything!

Are any of the Dutch ta's going to Dancevalley?
not a single person died of hypothermia last year, it was close but fortunately no one died,
I think there will be a meeting, in a few weeks when the line up/floorplan is ready, there will be a thread about the meeting.
this is the first dance valley for me, canīt wait to see yoji spin
