I was under the impression that they were turning that block into a park...
Anyway, another 8 years on the lease I believe...

oh i definitely know the new stuff has been posted here before. however, i thought it was kinda cool seeing how the area has transformed in the past 100 years or so and how it'll keep transforming.

am I the only one who doesnt care that the guv will eventually be replaced by condos/something else..... its JUST A NIGHTCLUB!
its not like they couldnt easily rebuild the exact same place somewhere else or build a new and improved one.... its not like there is something really special about its current geographical location...

depending on where you are coming from i guess. but in general, taking the subway down to union and then going 1 stop on the streetcar to queens quay with a ~5min walk isn't that bad. even coming straight from union is ~10min walk or a very cheap cab ride down.

huh?
There are 2 bus stops right at the corner of Jarvis and Queen Quay.
If that's too easy you can cross Lakeshore and walk 1 block to Esplanade and get a bus there.
OR you could walk 3 blocks North on Jarvis and Get the King street car.
OR you could walk to the 300 metres to Yonge St and get a bus there.
and of course lets not foget about the 2 subway stations that are under a 10 minute walk away. King and Union.
