The radio station I volunteer at recently unrolled an open marketing rep process. Basically the person bringing in the clients for ads on air etc.. can get between 25% and 35% or there about of any ad revenue brought in.
I'm wondering if there is some "acceptable" way of approaching people, or if this is really only useful if I'm trying to clean money?
Minimum ad intake revenues are 100$'s per client for the cut to show up. which would be like 25$ on each 100$'s brought in.
Where would I go to find clients?
Would anyone be willing to work for cuts on this? Eg if I gave you 20$'s on each hundred brought in in ads would you consider working on this?
Go for it. It could lead you to alot of opportunitys in advertising sales/marketing.
I got into advertising when i was 19. It was the best move i ever made.

try you relatives, friends or people you knoe
for success make a brief report on the channel you are working on, which genre its popular for, who are you guys targeting to, etc... basically you should know the demographics , psychographics of ur target audience
once you have all that on the report you wont be needing much help
and that $100 can easily turn into $1000

What format is your station? More importantly, who listens to your station? That will help determine what types of businesses or organizations you would try to get to buy air time. You can contact them anyway you like, but you need to make a case for how they would benefit by buying time from you.
