In the video tutorial they said that the launch date will be January 21st, 2009. Maybe they'll put their 'Mixes' section up that they've always had the button for. I'm not holding my breath on that one though.
That ad tells me nothing. Good use of vague buzzwords though.

Yeah, I thought the intro video was a little over the top for something as simple as an updated website. Check out the video tutorial that's up for their media player. At least they cover some of what's in store in the next update. The silly thing is, djdownload.com and other MP3 sites have had better UI's for quite some time, and it looks as though Beatport 4.0 still can't match the player that djdownload uses on their site. Though, time will tell, I guess.

That would be fucking epic.

Sounds like more Shitport hype to me. I can't understand why they're hyping up their new preview player like it's the next big thing, when many other sites' players have had these features for some time.

Just gimme a crate/wishlist so I don't have ot create multiple accounts. Seems like they'll finally have it.
+1 .. I hate having to create a new account just to add more songs, so annoying.

Yeah that did make me laugh a bit... big over the top video like that then - "look, we've added a TRACKLIST!"
So that's supposedly "hear"... any guesses at what the other senses will be?
taste - "we let you preview tracks, in our new amazing player!"
sight - "now you can download the artwork, like Juno have done for 6 months"
smell - "some sort of 'you might also like' feature, so you can 'sniff out' similar tracks?"
touch - "braille version now available?"

Most regular people (as in not DJs) only know about Beatport. It's very likely they've never even know that DJDownload or Audiojelly exist.
