Macromedia Flash MX - 30 sec animation is 90mb.. why?

I made this little 30 second animation in flash; exported it in gif.seq format. The size was 1.34mb. Then I added a 30 second mp3 clip (size: 428kb) to the project, and exported it in .avi format, and the size of the file became 90.4MB. Why does this happen? Why such a large size? I played around with it a little bit, but the lowest I could get was 70mb with low resolution / low-quality.

I just want to make a small animation with sound that is good quality and the size of which is not exorbitant. Any idea how to do this? What format should I be using?

Thanks
