"A studio environment is there to be exploited. I don't really hold with these 'all live on 2 decks mixes'. If you want that, go to the gig." - Ben Watt
have you ever used a sequencer before? and lol should've had a record by now
if you were a complete beginner as you seem to be, ableton probably is a good suggestion since it's the simplest sequencer around, especially for using samples...
then you could head onto logic when you have a better idea of what you're doing in production...
Logic is amazing, but i guess it would be a bit like jumping in the deep end if you're starting from scratch...

its funny you say that.. i started with reason didn't understand it, but then jumped into logic and seemed to understand it much better, weird
ep1x - I suggest you go look around for other apple stores and always ask for the guy that knows logic. i went to 4 stores until i found the right one and i worked with him for like 10-12 sessions then started doing things on my own.
i've been producing for 2 and a half years now and i think my productions are pretty decent

I do not have any friends that are into producing with Logic-- they do not use Macs
Tried to figure out this fucking manual too fucking long and I am stuck after chapter 2.
I have gone to the apple store to pay for a 1-on-1 tutor and I get bullshit responses.
what the fuck do i do.
I am trying to download these torrent DVDS that are logic tutorials and they will not download
youtube is bullshit for tutorials
what the fuck
I should have records made by now.
Contact my good friend Alex Parsons - He runs 16 STEPS (link below), which is an online course tailored to your exact needs, whether you're a complete beginner or advanced producer and need some expert advice. He does it via webcam/ichat/msm and is currently signed to several labels including Brique Rouge - he's probably had more than 30 tracks commercially released ranging from Hard House to minimal funk and techno. He also works mainly in Logic, but is also Acid certified and is a ninja with cubase and ableton too. Oh yeah, and he's a school music theory teacher as well and a great DJ.
Thanks for al your responses. A friend recommended me to this site, this forum seems top notch.
