Maybe they got tired and quit? Releasing 24 albums with nothing but lame ripoffs can't be too fun in the long run.
No, they're still around, unfortunately. Their last album reached #1 in the UK album charts, and that was only last year.
I think a few people on TA used to listen to their early-90s material, but I hope everybody is agreed that their new stuff is laughably cheesy pop guff.
Until their "Sheffield" album in 2000 they were pretty good

I was one of those who used to listen to them in the 90s. Still listen some of their mid-90s stuff (like Rhapsody In E) occasionally but i loathe most of what they have done in the 2000s.

Yep like me for example. Own their first two single compilations (dunno if there were othrs after). Used to really like them but I probably wouldn't stand them today.

Scooter pissed me off so much for taking a quality track like Marc Acardipane Presents MarshallMasters* Feat. Ultimate MC, The - I Like It Loud and turning it into a big pile of steaming shit.
Does anyone know how Scooter was capable of getting rights to remix this track and then call it
Scooter - Maria (I like it loud) ???
I'd be really interesting in finding out how he actually got a chance to even get his hands on such a quality track.

You are joking, right? The original is just as fucking stupid as Scooter's version.

Ugh, that tune was and always will be terrible, regardless of how many Thunderdome-ravers that went nuts to it over the years. It is a prime example of the paradox that is Marc Acardipane: for a while he'll make everyone in techno/hardcore look silly with The Mover or the stuff on Cold Rush, then he'll go on to make stupid rave nonsense like I Like It Loud or Drunken Piece Of Shit.
