Oh yeah.. corrupt file... one of the worst things that can happen.
It happened to me also once, had a killer remix going on.
Since then I always save my sessions to a new file (or multiple if the improvements are great) to avoid this, it leaves me having 30-50 project files of a finished track, but rather that than having a corrupted file which is gone forever.
Plus, I can always go back on an earlier file if my improvements sucks. |
yes that's what i do i start with say V1.0 and it can go right up to v30.9 say. once i finish the track then i call it by the track name.

I think there is a bit of paranoia in the air.
Chance are people will only fuck with you if you act like Sublte or DJ RAJNN, thsoe are a few people I wouldn't mind seeing all their work destroyed, *wink wink*. Don't be a moron, and learn to use the internet. If something happens to your data it is almost always your fault.
Also learn what things are, someone who breaks into your system is a "cracker", and a lot of times it has nothing to do with "that virus you downloaded", often they will manually try to connect to your PC and mess around. That is a lot of work, and often people don't randomly do it if they have any skill. Viruses and Trojans, as I said, its your fault for not taking the time out to learn how to use a PC. These are often made by people as a programming project to learn from, a short laugh, or for some other reason.
Please learn about what really are security risks, and what the etiquette is, people are not out to get you, its too much time and effort to try to break into your router and passed any other security software/hardware you might have, just to delete some mp3s, anyone with that kind of skill does not have an IQ low enough to waste his time on something so menial.
Malicious is almost always something *you* installed. You downloaded a .jpg or an .mp3 and it had malicious code and bam you were fucked. Yes .mp3s can have malicious code. And of course many .exes can. But all that can be avoided by knowing who you download from and what you are downloading.
And despite what anyone wants to think, ive been using bitorrent since it started, and I have not gotten a single piece of malware from it.
