Ordering records in your box?
How does everyone order the records in their boxes for playing?
So that you can find records when you want to play them.
Alphabetically or a style sort of thing?...
and i usually spend half my timewhen i should be beatmatching leafing through the records.
it's so hard to classify them. I mean, you could organize by genre, BPM, name of track, name of artist, label..
but all of those have drawbacks.
so i just leave em however they happen to be in my milk crate.

In my box it tends to be the newest records at the front. I just buy a new batch and shove them in at the front, everything else moves backwards. When there's no room, records from the back get moved out and stored.

I try to sort it in BPM/ genre order... but thats just roughtly... i know some people calculate their vinyls BPM and stick it on the sleeves which is good but i can't be asked to go through all of them.

i used to sort mine by label, now i sort by power
ie. i have my less bangin tunes towards the front and my banging-make-people-go-nuts tunes towards the back
cause my style is i like to start kinda easy and progress to some nice hard shiznit
i just buy new records and stick them to the front too so everything just gets pushed back and i kinda have a rough idea where a record is in my pile! but its getting harder to remember now as im buying too many records! damn addictions! so i think i might start to number my records too!
