I know Twitter annoys a lot of people, but I love it. Follow some music stuff like @ElectricZooNY and @residentadvisor + others. Can post on there multiple times without pissing off people (unlike Facebook). Any other NYTA's addicted to Twitter?

Twitter for me is good to hear about local events. I follow people who go out a lot and my favorite music venues. But it takes some searching and a little luck to stumble upon interesting people.
One of the downsides is a lot of people say the exact same thing on both Facebook and Twitter, which can be annoying.

never been to the site either, but i'm told it's like facebook, except with JUST status updates i.e. *Zack is going to the store.* *Zack is preparing his set for Cielo tonight.* *Zack is making a sandwich.* etc etc x infinity. if we're supposed to be behind here in the west, I wonder how much more ADD social networking sites are in places like japan lol
