Ill Keep My TT Runing almost all the time I spin, however I have seen DJ that stops his TTs, even Tiesto, I have seen tiesto stoping his TTs,.. i think is just the way u want, and the way u used to do it.

Its just the way you learn to do stuff. I don't stop the TT's when taking records off but I do stop them just before the first beat of where I will start the next tune. Just makes it quicker for finding those all elusive cue points.
Most DJ's will have little quirks that they done while learning and still use them. For some bizarre reason I have to start with m first tune on the left hand deck (unless I'm mixing in through another DJ). Strange but I always play better when I do it!!!

it doesn't matter, i mean it's not gonna effect on ur beatmatching if u stop ur decks or if u will keep them running all the time....

i stop it because im pretty careless i guess when swapping records so if the platter is still moving its difficult for me to get the record on unless i am really paying attention and i'll think the rec is on but its only halfway and when i let go the rec ends up spinning around and flying off the table.. from experience, i believe more people keep the TT's on while switching tracks, however it makes no difference, i think they do it for looks..
